We break

barriers.

meet IVET.

Award-winning TV Reporter turned Communication Strategist
After a decade in bilingual print and TV news, Ivet Contreras launched the multicultural communications firm IC Media Strategy in 2018 - motivated by the gaps of language and culture she saw first-hand in key informational campaigns.

Before launching IC Media Strategy, Ivet held various positions in English and Spanish media outlets in Northern and Southern Nevada and contributed to national news. Ivet covered stories in Nevada that forever marked our lives like the school shooting at Sparks Middle School and the Las Vegas Massacre. Ivet also interviewed several key local, state and presidential politicians and was appointed to cover the Nevada Legislative session in 2013 and 2015 for Univision.

Ivet grew up bilingual and bicultural in Incline Village and at a very young age she became the translator for her parents, friends and neighbors. Since then she's felt the genuine responsibility to communicate effectively to everyone in the community in the most linguistic and culturally competent way.

Ivet and her multilingual team have helped dozens of clients with award-winning statewide and regional health, sports, legislative and DEI campaigns.
Most recently, Ivet was honored to be selected as one of Sierra Nevada's Most Influential Women of 2021.

What makes Ivet stand out in this field is that there are no "hard-to-reach communities" for her and her team. Ivet's gap-bridging, barrier-breaking strategies have shown impactful results and engaged communities like Nevada has never seen before.

meet the team that makes things happen.

why us?

We make sure our approach is authentic.

We are the only agency in Northern Nevada with a focus on Hispanic Strategy/Outreach and with the knowledge and tools to allow your message to reach a larger audience. We carefully craft an all-inclusive strategy that takes skills, experience and cultural understanding to create a strong and meaningful interaction and one that connects with this flourishing community.  We make sure not to make the mistake that many agencies do by using a one-size-fits-all approach when trying to reach the Latino population.

We carefully craft an all-inclusive strategy that takes skills, experience and cultural understanding.
